Project Description

Tsagiglal: A Series

During my last few years at Andover Newton Theological School, I tried each year to make a series of small pieces which the students could afford. The two main series were these Tsagiglal pieces and “The Gospel According to Mother Nature.” The Tsagiglal which inspired this series is a petroglyph carved into a rock face in the Columbia River gorge. The meaning of Tsagiglal is “She who Watches.” Sizes vary from 4″ to 8″ wide and 8″ to 12″ high.  2000
