Project Description

The Sweeper

The three parables, The Prodigal Son, Sweeping for the Lost Coin, and The Lost Sheep, are all images of the divine. The Sweeper is not usually seen as such, and so I have given it the central place here. The prodigal son is in the upper left corner and the lost sheep is in the lower right. The imagery reflects our time in India, where sweeping with a short broom was a common sight. 36″ x 48″  1992
