Shrine

In 2004, Holy Ground, the retreat ministry I was involved with in Asheville at the time, held an art auction to raise funds for its work. I took another piece of my reclaimed walnut tree, with configurations that also appear in the Japanese accent lamp, and sculpted a piece I called “Shrine.” It stands about 14″ high. I was pleased that it fetched a goodly sum from a generous buyer.
