Gitanjali I, II, III

These paper collages are an assemblage of many of my favorite images, mostly representing the divine feminine, but also the Christ figure. They include music fragments from Gitanjali, by John Alden Carpenter, one of my favorite pieces when I was a music student. The poetry of Gitanjali is by Rabandranath Tagore. The backgrounds are linen on wood, each bordered with a primary color. 13” x 19”, 12” x 27”, 12” x 31”.  1998
